A Fine Evening

Working from home has advantages, but also disadvantages. One of them is that you will end up moving less and, potentially, seeing less of the out of doors. It does take a lot of will to leave the cozy house you’ve been the whole day, by way of lengthy layering while the light dims outside.

This time I could not get out of the house fast enough. One of those rare winter days with clear skies all the way. I took a couple of Konica lenses and double gloves and I run, chasing the light.

I like wearing thin gloves under mittens that open. If I an not faffing around with controls and it is cold enough, it keeps my hands warm enough, but if I need to, I can have some dexterity by opening the flap on the mittens and still have the tip of my fingers functional. To be fair, it used to be a time where I noticed the cold less, coincidentally, I was also younger at that time.

Anyway, the light really won this time, so I had to do my best at the spot I was. And part of my plan had been to get my favourite barn. While light was gone at ground level. It was doing its thing on the high clouds, turning the sky yellow and orange and eventually red
